This book is about all aspects of interpersonal skills training. It is written as a sourcebook for those who want useful ideas about how to run interpersonal skills workshops. Its aim is practical. It is a manual to be used in the training field. While the early chapters are about theory- it is important to be clear about the theory behing training- the bulk of the book is a series of easy-to-use training activities.
Most trainers will have been to workshops and on courses themselves. Sometimes an activity will be remembered but the detail of it forgotten. When this has happened, this book can serve as a jog to the memory. For others it can act as a source of ideas of ways of helping people to reflect on their interpersonal skills. There are lots of ways of using the book; this introduction illustrates some of those ways.
